Fr. Dick became a Redemptorist in 1961, and was ordained a priest in 1966. He obtained an M.A. in Catechetical Theology from Manhattan College, and did further graduate study in Religious Education at The Catholic University of America. He has served a college seminary instructor, parish priest, pastor, director of a college seminary residence, director of both a retreat center and a house of prayer, chaplain of a Sisters’ motherhouse, and a member of a regional Redemptorist leadership council. Currently, he is a member of the Redemptorist community which operates a retreat center near Oconomowoc, WI where he does part-time ministry both at the retreat center as well in parishes and family life ministries in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Over the years, on the side of whatever his main ministry was, he has served in various family life ministries with youth, engaged couples, married couples, divorced and widowed, and gay Catholics and their families.
